About
Laura Walker
Laura is a BACP registered Person-Centred Therapist. Her aim is to offer a calm, steady professional presence where you can explore whatever has brought you to counselling in a safe environment. She will work at your pace, respecting your autonomy and giving time for trust to build in the relationship.
She has worked in a corporate environment. Having experienced a change of direction in life she retrained as a counsellor. She has a genuine interest in people. She has been a client and understands how difficult it can be to reach out. She will not try to ‘fix’ you instead she will sit alongside you while you explore the best way forward, for you. Her training is firmly rooted in you having the power for change within the right environment.
Laura believes real change begins with awareness and will gently, but honestly, challenge your perspective when it’s helpful and at a safe pace for you.
